With all due respect, I would not say that all of the Templars were knights of Christ since some of them attacked the Saracen caravans and that was not Christlike behavior.

In that dark and obscure times, killing a Saracen was considered "malicide" (killing Evil itself), not "homicide"  (killing a man).

But they attacked innocent civilians of the Saracens. They even made enemies of their own fellow crusaders as individuals when it came to the matter. They were guilty of who knows how many crimes, they were eventually brought to justice by the King of France.
